Congrats to the Mooney's!

Many of you may remember my friends Matt and Ginny Mooney. They had baby Eliot who was born with Trisomy 18 and went to be with the Lord after 99 days on earth. Matt and Ginny documented that time on their blog and they put a video together to honor Eliot's life.

Well, today Ginny gave birth to their daughter!
Hazel Emerson Mooney

Matt says she is beautiful and doing great. Thanks be to the Lord.

This is a random comment for this post, but I wanted to say thanks for posting all the blogs on potty training your son at 18 months. I'm just starting the process with my 18 month old son after reading about early potty training in the Baby Whisperer book. I found your blog on a Google search, and it was nice to see a success story and proof that this can work.

I am so happy to hear this news. I was so deeply moved when I was sent their video on YouTube. It particularly struck a cord with me because at the time, I was writing a feature about Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, an organization that takes rememberance photography of stillborns and children that do not survive often after birth. The family I was highlighting in the story was affected by Trisomy 18 as well. I am sure that Eliot is smiling in heaven and happy to know he has a baby sister.
